CHAIRWOMAN  PEARCE announced  that  the Senate  Resources  Committee                                                            
adopted  a committee substitute  for HB  244-RIGHT-OF-WAY TO  DENALI                                                        
BOR. FOR RR/UTIL.                                                                                                           
                                                                                                                                
SENATOR THERRIAULT  moved  to abstain from  voting because  a family                                                            
member is a Kantishna shareholder.                                                                                              
                                                                                                                                
CHAIRWOMAN  PEARCE announced that  a member can abstain from  voting                                                            
in committee.                                                                                                                   
                                                                                                                                
SENATOR COWDERY moved to calendar SCS CSHB 244(RES).                                                                            
                                                                                                                                
SENATOR ELLIS objected.                                                                                                         
                                                                                                                                
The  motion  carried with  Senators  Cowdery,  Phillips  and  Pearce                                                            
voting "yea," and Senator Ellis voting "nay."
